Hi, I’m Becky!

Photo by my friend Ashlee Gadd.

Once upon a time, I ran a photo biz and marketing agency for creatives with my hubby, Jesse—yes, like Aunt Becky and Uncles Jesse from Full House. 😉 As we pursued entrepreneurship, we longed for a family. And after five grueling years of infertility, we went to China to meet our daughter.

There is a lot of good that happened between then and now, like hosting a podcast called We Are Free, joining the Coffee + Crumbs team, buying a home halfway up a mountain, co-writing a book(!!!). But I also experienced so many gut-punching losses like this and this during that time, and others I hold closer to my chest that took the life right out of me.

I think that’s why God has me where he does, sharing about the death of dreams, and searching for light and color, and documenting Notes of Hope—even the tiniest glimpses of goodness qualify. Really, it’s true.

These days, you’ll most likely find me deep in the brush with clippers in hand, or hauling fallen branches behind me while I walk our Goldendoodle up the gravel driveway. God has given me the unceasing assignment of noticing beauty in the world—and my life—even when it’s not so obvious, even when I have to go scrounging for it. You’ll find lanky, dried sunflowers in a ceramic vase on my mantel, overflowing everlasting next to our coffee cart, and visceral poetry, essays, and pep talks on the page, all for the same reason: Jesus has called me to forage beauty, light, and hope for his glory.

Other places you can find me…

Oh…

And did I mention? I’m so happy you’re here 💛
